Belleville, Ontario – Late in the evening on the 3rd of July 2017, a 34 year old Belleville man was arrested for breaching the peace at an address in the east end of Belleville. He had also been consuming alcohol which was a factor in the arrest. The male was released unconditionally in the morning after spending the night in the cells. Before being released, the male advised officers that there would be no further problems.
The male proceeded straight back to the same residence where he proceeded to barge into the residence, verbally threaten and then physically assault the female victim.
As a result, the 34 year old male was arrested again and this time charged with Domestic Assault and Uttering threats towards the victim.
The male was released on a Promise to Appear with an Officer in Charge Undertaking which included residing at an address outside of Belleville. A future court date is pending for the male.
