Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ontario – On June 4th, 2017, officers responded to 4 accidents:

At 10:56 a.m. police attended at the intersection of Bridge St. and Sidney St. regarding a two-car accident. One car was towed from the scene. There were no injuries, and the investigation is continuing.

At 11:17 a.m. police attended on Sidney St. in relation to a two-car accident. Two of the passengers in one of the vehicles were treated by EMS at the scene and released. A 31-year old Belleville woman was charged with careless driving.

At 11:48 a.m. police attended on Station Street in front of the Beer Store in relation to a single vehicle rollover accident. The driver was able to extricate himself from the vehicle. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.

At 3:10 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of 366 North Front Street in relation to a two-car accident where one of the cars had failed to remain. The investigation is continuing.

 Fraud over $5000.

Belleville, Ontario – On June 4th, 2017 at 5:07 p.m. officers received a complaint about a family member taking $6000.00 through internet transfers over a 7-day period from another family member. A 29-year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with Fraud over $5000.00.  He was released with a July court date. The name of the accused was withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Arrest on Warrant

Belleville, Ontario – On June 5th, at 1:00 a.m. Kingston Police arrested a 28-year old Kingston woman on warrants held by the Belleville Police Service. The woman was returned to Belleville and held for a bail hearing on June 5th, 2017. Her charges include two counts of breach of probation.

Good Samaritans

Belleville, Ontario – The Belleville Police Service would like to thank several citizens who stopped to assist a person and his dog on Dundas St. E. at George St. on Sat. June 3rd.  Around 12:30 p.m. a gentleman fell from his motorized wheelchair and his dog ran loose into traffic. Several people stopped to render assistance and the dog was returned safely. During this incident, one of the citizens dropped a pair of sunglasses. If you are the owner of the sunglasses, please contact Constable Andrea Boulay at 613-966-0882 ext. 4183.
