National Prescription Drug Drop Off Day,

The Belleville Police Service encourages residents to take part in the third annual National Prescription Drug Drop Off Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, 2015, 10 am – 3 pm, at the Safety Village at The Belleville Police Service located at 93 Dundas Street East, Belleville.

This effective drug abuse strategy helps get unused and expired prescription medication out of homes by providing a safe and convenient method of disposal.  This is an excellent opportunity to clean out the medicine cabinets and there are no questions asked upon drop off.

Disturbance- Belleville Ontario

On the 4th of May 2015 at 5:15Pm Police responded to a disturbance in the area of Oak St and Station Street. Upon arrival Police located a male and female who had been involved in a verbal dispute that had turned into a physical altercation. Police arrested a 22 yr old female for assault. She was released on a promise to appear in court on May 25th. The male received minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
