Three Arrested Following Motel Robbery In Belleville

On the 5th of October 2018 at 6:00 a.m., Police responded to a robbery call from a North Front Street Motel. Police were contacted by the Motel attendant who advised that three males who had been guests of the Motel had attended the front counter. One of the males brandished a knife and demanded access to the till. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the males fled the Motel.

Police searched the area where the accused were last seen and where citizens had observed them and directed police to their last location. With this public cooperation, and a brief foot pursuit, the police were able to quickly apprehend and arrest three male suspects.

Charged with one count each of Robbery with a weapon and one count each of Mischief are 23 year old Belleville Resident Daniel Woodstock and two male young offenders aged 16 and 17 that cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

All of the stolen property was recovered and no injuries were sustained by the employee of the Motel.
