Traffic Enforcement

 

Belleville, Ontario – On September 4th, 2017, at 1:18 p.m. a traffic stop on Benjamin Street resulted in charges being laid on the driver. The 28-year-old Belleville man was charged with driving while under suspension and driving with no insurance. He will appear in Traffic Court on October 2nd, 2017.

 

 

Long Weekend Traffic Enforcement

 

Belleville, Ontario – The dayshift working September 1st, 2nd, and 3rd concentrated on traffic initiatives to reduce the amount of accidents. Inattentiveness and speed are the underlying causes of most accidents. A total of 90 provincial offence notices were issued to motorists on Old Hwy 2, North Front Street, Hwy 62, Hwy 37, Casey Road and Blessington Road. In addition to speeding charges there were other charges including cell phone usage, failing to wear seatbelts, improper lights, and failing to slow and proceed with caution for stopped emergency vehicles.
