Belleville Police responded to 84 calls for service between 5:00am 04 Sept 2019 and 05 Sept 2019 5:00am

Bail Violations & Theft

Belleville ON - On September 4th 2019 at 10:00 pm, an off duty police officer followed a couple in their van after the pair had stolen several items from Wal-Mart. The van was stopped on North Cannifton Road by uniform officers and the couple were arrested for theft without incident. Both the male and female were on bail conditions to abide by a daily curfew from 8:00pm to 0600am. A 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old female both of Belleville were charged with 1 count each of failing to comply with recognizance and 1 count each of theft under $5,000. They will both appear in Belleville Bail court later today.
