Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville ON – Police responded to 9 collisions throughout the city.  5 of the collisions were minor and reported as property damage only with no injuries.  At 2:02pm a 2 vehicle collision was reported at Catherine St and Cedar St, resulting in a driver being charged for failing to yield under the Highway Traffic Act.  At 3:09pm a 3 vehicle collision was reported on Millennium Pkwy, resulting in a driver being charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.  No injuries were reported.

 

Shoplifting

Belleville ON – Police responded to a Bell Blvd business at 2:30pm in regards to a shoplifter in custody by loss prevention officers.  As a result of the investigation, a female suspect was charged with theft under $5000 and will have a court date scheduled in May. 

 

Break and Enter

Belleville ON – Police responded to a female suspect breaking a window and entering a residence on Cedar St at 4:45pm.  The suspect was located inside the residence and began fighting with officers when they attempted to arrest her.  Further into the investigation discovered she was currently on outstanding criminal charges.  She was held for a bail hearing on charges for Break and Enter, and Resist Arrest.

 

Liquor License Act

Belleville ON – A female was reported out of control at a Bleecker Av address at 5pm.  Officers located the female, who was extremely intoxicated by alcohol and unable to care for herself.  She was arrested for her own protection under the Liquor License Act.

 

Warrants

Belleville ON – During one of the motor vehicle collision investigations, a female driver was discovered to be wanted out of the Kingston area for criminal offences.  She was arrested under the strength of the warrant and turned over to Kingston police to answer to the outstanding charges.  As a result of the motor vehicle collision, she was charged with driving without a license, no insurance, and plates not authorized.

 

Bail Violations

Belleville ON – On April 6, 2018 at 1am police received information about a 21 yr old female breaching her bail conditions.  She was located shortly after the initial complaint and arrested without incident.  With consuming alcohol, being intoxicated, being away from her assigned residence, and attending a residence against her bail conditions the suspect was held for a bail hearing.
