On the 6th of August, 2015, the Belleville Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and Emergency Response Team, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, conducted search warrants within the City of Belleville.

As a result, a quantity of controlled substances, cash and offence related property were seized.  The following persons have been arrested and charged:

 

  • Brenda Lee Biggar, 52 yrs. of age

  • Philip Post, 55 yrs. of age,

  • William McFarland, 54 yrs of age,

  • Linda Cox, 49 yrs. of age,

  • Denise Kempt, 49 yrs. of age,

  • Hayley Stewart, 52 yrs. of age,

  • Diane Holland, 50 yrs. of age,

  • a person who cannot be identified, under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

    All accused are from the City of Belleville and are charged with “Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking”, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.    Biggar is further charged with “Proceeds of Crime”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.  

    Biggar and Post and the unnamed person, will be held for Show Cause Hearings scheduled for the 10th of August 2015.    All others have been released on Promise to Appears and Officer In-Charge Undertakings.
