Update:  Warrants for Two Following Thefts at Churches

 

In an update to the below media release from November 29th, 2016, the Belleville

Police Service has issued warrants for an adult male and female following further

investigation of thefts at local churches.

 

Warrants have been issued for:

 

          Donovan HUYCKE, 24 years of age, of no fixed address for the following charges:

 

                    -Theft under $5,000 x 2

                    -Fraud under $5,000 x 2

                    -Breach of Probation x 2

                    -Possession of Property obtained by Crime x 2

 

          Shauna SMITH, 25 years of age of Belleville, Ontario for:

 

                    -Theft under $5,000

                    -Fraud under $5,000

                    -Possession of Property obtained by Crime

 

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of either HYUCKE or SMITH, please contact the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.

                                                                                            

Thefts- Belleville ON

 

Belleville Police would like to make the public aware of a series of thefts that have been occurring in various churches in the Belleville area.  A male and female couple in their mid-20’s attend various churches on the guise that they are in need of food vouchers and other assistance.  Once in the church, electronics and other items have been stolen by this couple and later pawned for cash.  Police have identified the pair and are in the process of issuing warrants for their arrest.  Police would like to remind the public and in particular the local churches of this situation and to be vigilant as the holiday season approaches.
