Domestic Dispute Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 8:20 am on June 5, 2013 police were called to a Russell Street residence to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival they discovered that a male and female at that location had been in a physical altercation and the male had fled prior to the officers arriving at the scene. He was located later in the morning, arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held for a Bail Hearing on June 6th. The 33 year old Belleville man is being charged with two counts of Assault and one count of Breach of Probation. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

Fraud Belleville, Ontario

 

 The Belleville Police Service received a complaint in April 2013 of an alleged fraud. The incident that led to the criminal investigation took place in late 2012 and stemmed from a construction business relationship the two individuals had with a customer in Tyendinaga Township.

Upon the work being completed, payment was issued in the form of a cheque which was alleged to have been altered and cashed for a greater amount.

 

As a result of an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Branch, Michael McInnis, 27 years and Rebecca Forbes 28, both of Bellevillehave been charged with:

 

  • 1 count of Fraud over $5000
  • 1 count of Utter Forged document

 

They were released with a court date in July 2013.

 

Drugs Belleville, Ontario

 

 On the 5th of June 2013, members of the Belleville Police Service Drug Unit, assisted by the Belleville Police Emergence Response Team and members of the OPP CDAT Team executed 3 CDSA search warrants in the east end of the Belleville. 

 

As a result of the search warrants, police seized 157 marijuana plants valued at $157,000, 4 lbs of processed marijuana, 3 oz of cocaine, 100 rounds of 9mm handgun ammunition, 3 prohibited weapons including 2 sets of brass knuckles, 1 taser, 1 ASP baton and a quantity of cash.

     Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) s 5(2) CDSA

     Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking ( Marijuana) s 5(2) CDSA

     Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking ( Hashish) s 5(2) CDSA

     Possession of Proceeds of Crime s 354(1)(a) CC

 

 

26 year adult female from Belleville

The 34 year old adult male is being held for a bail hearing while the other adults were released on Promise to Appears and Officer in Charge Undertakings with a July 25, 2013 court date.
