Accidents
Belleville, Ontario – On May 5th, 2014, at 8:33 a.m. police attended at 58 Dundas Street West in relation to a three car accident. EMS and Belleville Fire Department attended as one of the drivers had to be extricated from a vehicle. The driver was treated for minor injuries. A Demorestville woman was charged with failing to yield to traffic.
At 11:01 a.m. police attended at the intersection of Bridge Street West at Sidney Street in relation to a three car accident. One driver was treated for minor injuries. This accident was east of the intersection. A Belleville woman was charged with careless driving.
At 11:52 a.m. police attended at the intersection of Bridge Street West at Sidney Street in relation to a two car accident. This accident was north of the intersection. One vehicle was towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing.
At 6:45 p.m. police attended on College Street West in relation to a two car accident. A Belleville man was charged with "start from a stopped position – not in safety”. No one was injured.
Arrested on warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On May 5th, 2014, at 3:35 p.m. police checked two people on Coleman St. Both were wanted by the Belleville Police Service and taken into custody.
A 30 year old Belleville woman was released with a courtdate of May 29th, 2014
The 34 year old Belleville man was held for bail after stolen property was found in his possession. A blue ray movie was seized once it was linked to a theft call from the Quinte Mall from April 28th, 2014. In addition to his warrants, he was charged with theft under $5000.00.
Criminal Harassment
Belleville, Ontario – On May 5th, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. police attended at a west end residence in relation to a criminal harassment complaint. A 44 year old Belleville man was charged with two counts of criminal harassment. He will appear in court on May 26th, 2014.
