Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On May 5th, 2018, at 7:09 p.m. officers attended on North Front Street in relation to a two-car collision. Both cars were towed from the scene. Both drivers were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries. One driver was charged with “failing to turn out to the left to avoid a collision”.

 

 

3-day suspensions

Belleville, Ontario – On May 5th, 2018, at 9:10 p.m. officers attended in the drive-thru lane of a restaurant on North Front Street in relation to a driver under the influence of alcohol. The driver registered a ‘warn’ on an approved screening device. His licence was suspended for three days and his vehicle was towed. The 59-year-old Belleville man was also charged for being an unlicenced driver.

 

On May 6th, 2018, at 3:09 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on North Front Street. A 21-year-old Belleville man was issued a three day licence suspension as a result of registering a ‘warn’ on an approved screening device.

 

 

Intoxicated person

Belleville, Ontario – On May 6th, 2018, at 1:30 a.m. a Boswell Street resident called police advising that an unknown male was banging on her door. The intoxicated male was located on Coleman Street and arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. The 39-year-old Belleville man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
