Assault Police

Belleville, Ontario – On November 5th, 2017, at 1:55 p.m. officers attended at a disturbance at an apartment on Alexander Street. It was learned that two brothers had been fighting. A check revealed that one of the brothers was wanted on outstanding warrants held by the Belleville Police Service. The charges include possession of stolen property and breach of probation. During the arrest the brother head butted one of the officers in the chest area. The 31-year-old Belleville man faces an additional charge of assaulting a Police Officer. He was held for a bail hearing on November 6th, 2017. The officer was not injured while the accused suffered minor injuries.


Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On November 5th, 2017, at 10:41 a.m. officers attended at Bridge Street East at Farley Avenue in relation to a two-car accident. One of the drivers was charged with following too closely. There were no reported injuries.


Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario – On November 5th, 2017, at 5:31 p.m. officers attended at a Bell Blvd. parking lot in relation to a stolen vehicle.  Taken was a 1979 Toyota Landcruiser  2 door beige bearing Ontario licence plate BNZX949. There are no suspects.
