Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ontario – On September 5th, 2017 at 8:41 a.m. police attended downtown in the municipal parking lot in relation to a single-vehicle accident. A car had struck a cement barrier. A towtruck was required to move the vehicle off of the barrier. There were no injuries. No charges as this occurred on private property.

 

On September 5th, 2017 at 8:42 p.m. police attended on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road in relation to a two-car accident. An 18-year old Belleville woman was charged with following too closely. There were no injuries.

 

On September 5th, 2017, at 1:06 p.m. police attended on North Park Street at McFee Street in relation to a two-car accident. Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated at Quinte Health Care. A 23-year-old Belleville woman was charged with following too closely.

 

Domestic Assault

 

Belleville, Ontario – On September 5th, 2017, at 8:03 p.m. officers attended at a west hill residence in relation to a couple arguing. It was learned that the male had narrowly missed striking several people with his car as he fled prior to police arrival. An investigation revealed that he had also assaulted his ex-girlfriend. A warrant will be sought for the arrest of a 27-year-old Belleville man for dangerous driving, assault, uttering threats and two counts of breach of probation.

 

Fraud

Belleville, Ontario – On September 5th, 2017, at 8:15 p.m. a 24-year old Belleville man turned himself in regarding an ongoing fraud investigation. Investigation revealed that on August 24th, 2017, the accused deposited 6 stolen cheques totaling $1700.00 into his bank account. He was charged with six counts of uttering a forged document, six counts of fraud, and two counts of possession of stolen property. He will appear in court on October 19th, 2017.
