Belleville Police responded to 70 calls for service between 5:00am 06 Sept 2019 and 07 Sept 2019 5:00am


Belleville, ON - On September 6th 2019, at approximately 7:50 p.m. police received a call for a robbery to a downtown business. The victim advised that a male entered the place of business and brandished a knife asking for money. He eventually ran away with a box containing an undisclosed amount of money. The male was located a short time later by officers and was arrested for the Robbery and weapons dangerous. 19-year-old Chase Bradford of Belleville was later released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC undertaking with a court date of the 3rd of October 2019.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, ON – On September 6th 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police were called to Wallbridge- Loyalist Road at Bell Boulevard for a single motor vehicle collision. One occupant was trapped in the vehicle as a result of the collision and required extraction. A 70-year-old Belleville man was eventually transported to Belleville General Hospital and then transferred to Kingston General Hospital in critical condition. Charges, if applicable will be determined at a later time as the investigation is still ongoing.

Trespass at Night

Belleville, ON – On September 7th 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Belleville Police were called to a West end location for a disturbance. Upon arrival, police officers were approached by the home owner who explained that he observed a male in his back yard attempting to steal marijuana plants. When he went out to confront the male, a fight ensued prompting the call to police. 35-year-old John Collingridge of Belleville, was arrested for trespassing at night and assault. He was later released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC Undertaking with a court date of the 26th of September 2019.
