Robbery- Belleville, Ontario

On the 6th of February 2015 at approximately 4:30Am a male was walking on Highland Avenue near Charlotte Street when he was approached by 2 males driving a dark colored van. The males spoke briefly with victim then drove away. As the victim turned the corner, the males approached the victim knocking him to the ground and began kicking him. The victim surrendered money and the suspects fled. One of suspect males is as described Spanish, mid 20s, 510 slim build and with short dark hair. There is no description for the other male. The victim received minor injuries and did not need medical attention. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers.

 

Motor Vehicle Collisions- Belleville, Ontario

 

During the past 24 hours Belleville Police Service investigated 10 motor vehicle collisions.

All of the collisions were property damage only.

 

Impaired Driver- Belleville, Ontario

 

On the 7th of February 2015 at 2:50 Belleville Police Service received a call for a possible impaired driver on North Front Street. Officers located the vehicle nearby and investigated. The female driver was arrested for impaired operation, and transported to Belleville Police Service for breath tests that resulted in readings in excess of 80 milligrams.  A 28 year old female from Belleville was charged with impaired operation and operating a motor vehicle while over 80mgs. She was released from custody on a promise to appear in court on the 26th of February. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle seized for 7 days.
