Robbery-Belleville ON

On the 6th day of February 2016 at 4:39 am police were dispatched to a robbery at a Bridge Street West convenience store. Investigation revealed two male victims were sprayed with bear spray by a group of young men in a vehicle. The assailants were demanding the victims give them all their belongings. The suspect males in the vehicle were gone before police arrived. A short time later police spotted the suspect vehicle in the area of Wallbridge Crescent. The vehicle fled and crashed a short distance later. Police were able to arrest two males involved in the robbery and they have been held in custody until Monday 8th February 2016 for a bail hearing.  They have been charged with Robbery, Assault with a Weapon and Weapons Dangerous.  There were minor injuries to the victims.  If anyone has any information regarding the incident contact the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers
