Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville – Shortly after 1:00 P.M. on the 6th of June 2015 police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Mitchell Rd. involving a motorcycle. A 65 year old Mississauga man lost control of his motorcycle resulting in injuries that required him to be transported to the Kingston General Hospital trauma unit with what was believed to be multiple fractures.


Belleville -  At approximately 2:00 P.M. on the 6th of June 2015 police were called to a shoplifting call at a local department store where two females had been arrested by store security. Police investigation resulted in a 35 yr. old Belleville woman being charged criminally with theft under $5000 and a 30 yr. old Belleville woman being issued a provincial offence notice for engaging in prohibited activity on private property under the trespass to property act.


Belleville – At 7:25 P.M. on the 6th of June 2015 police were called to investigate a robbery that occurred in a fielded area in Belleville’s east end. Investigation revealed that a 48 year old male was knocked to the ground and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were sustained by the victim. The suspect is described as being in his 20’s, approximately 5’9” tall and weighing approximately 160 lbs. The suspect was also said to be wearing a sweatshirt either white or grey in colour. Belleville – Shortly after 11:00 P.M. on the 6th of June 2015 Police responded to a robbery at a west end convenience store where a 19 yr. old Belleville male entered the store and brandished a knife demanding money from the cash register. Thanks to the quick actions of an employee of an adjacent business, the male was restrained as he left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and held until police arrived. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery. The male was released on charges of robbery, weapons dangerous and breach of probation with a July court date.
