Motor Vehicle Collisions

 

Belleville, Ontario – On May 6th, 2017, at 9:17 a.m. police attended at the intersection of Dundas Street East at Church Street in relation to a two-car accident. EMS attended as airbags had been deployed in both vehicles. A 25-year old male was charged with disobeying a red light. Charges are pending against the other driver who was an unlicenced driver. Both cars were towed from the scene. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.

 

On May 6th, 2017, at 9:51 a.m. police attended on Bleecker Avenue at Emily Street regarding to a two-car accident. A 32-year old man was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign. One car was towed; no injuries.

 

On May 6th, 2017, at 2:07 p.m. police attended on North Front Street at #336 in relation to a two-car accident. A 33-year old male was charged with careless driving. There were no injuries.

 

On May 6th, 2017, at 2:18 p.m. police attended on North Front Street at Craig Street in relation to a two-car accident. EMS attended and transported one of the passengers to BGH with minor injuries. A 49-year old woman was charged with careless driving. One car was towed from the scene.

 

 

Disturbances

 

Belleville, Ontario – On May 6th, 2017, at 11:15 p.m. multiple calls were received about a male stumbling into traffic on Bridge Street West at Everett Street. The male had fallen on the sidewalk upon police arrival. A 48-year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and issued a provincial offence notice.

On May 7th, 2017, at 2:40 a.m. police attended at a disturbance on Craig Street. A 38-year old Colborne man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
