Belleville, Ontario – On April 7th, 2015 officers responded to 4 accidents:

At 11:42 a.m. police attended on Front Street at Bridge Street as a car and an ebike had collided.  The ebike rider required medical attention in relation to a sore back.  The driver of the car, a 54-year old Belleville woman, was charged with ‘start from a stopped position – not in safety’.

At 12:46 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of 210 Bell Blvd in relation to a two-car accident.  This investigation is on-going.

At 1:05 p.m. police attended on College Street East at Moira Street East in relation to a three-car accident. One of the drivers reported minor injuries in the form of whiplash.  A 46-year old Belleville woman was charged with ‘careless driving’.

At 1:18 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street West at Coleman Street in relation to a two-car accident. A 57-year old Belleville woman was charged with ‘follow too closely’. There were no injuries.


Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On April 7th, 2015, at 8:25 p.m., police were called to the area of the Station Beer Store as a male had been refused service given his intoxication level.  This vehicle was stopped in the east end and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. Michael Labossiere, 63, of Belleville was charged with Impaired Driving and Failing to provide a breath sample.  He will appear in court on April 23rd, 2015.
