UPDATE –Break/Enter and Theft – Fenbruary 8th, 2017 -  One accused charged, guns still outstanding.

 

An investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Belleville Police Service has led to a charge of Break Enter and Theft against a 20 year old male from Belleville. On the 3rd of February 2017, Josh MORRISON was charged; he has a court date of Thursday March 2nd, 2017.

 

The Police would still like to hear from anyone with information on this theft case as the firearms have not been recovered. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Tony McCambridge at 613-966-0882 Extension 2313 or by calling Quinte Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

 

 

Break/Enter & Theft – Origional Release- October 27th, 2016

 

Last night, city police attended a residence in the East Thurlow Twp. area in regards to a break & enter.  Further investigation reveal that the suspect(s) were able to pry their way into the home owner’s gun cabinet & stole 9 firearms plus ammunition. 

 

This incident is still under investigation.  If anyone has any information regarding the occurrence, please contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882 ext 2211.
