Impaired Driver
Belleville, Ont. - On July 8, 2009, at approximately 1:50 a.m. police received a report of a possible impaired driver in the east end of the city. Officers located and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Cherry Gardens and MacDonald Avenue. The driver failed a roadside breathalyzer test and was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he blew a fail on the breathalyzer. A 67 year old Belleville man was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80MG. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of August 13, 2009.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
Belleville, Ont. - On the 8th of July 2009 members of the Belleville Police Service attend in the North area of the City in response to a complaint of a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. As a result of the investigation one driver was charged. There were no injuries reported.
MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
Belleville, Ont. - On the 8th of July 2009 officers with the Belleville Police Service investigated a two vehicle accident in the West area of the City. A female party was transported to Belleville General Hospital as she was complaining of chest pain. The other driver was charged as a result of the investigation.
SHOPLIFTER
Belleville, Ont. - On the 8th of July 2009 members of the Belleville Police Service responded to a call of a female shoplifter at the Quinte Mall. The female had a small child with her as she fled the scene. Officers located the female and child hiding out in a restaurant in the North area of the City. Several of the articles that had been stolen from various stores were located. The female was arrested and charged with 3 counts of theft and 3 counts of Possession of Stolen Property and released with a court date in August.
DISTURBANCE
Belleville, Ont. -  On the 8th of July 2009 the Belleville Police Service responded to a disturbance call in the West part of the City. Two males that had been drinking were arrested for breach of the peace and lodged in cells overnight.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Belleville, Ont. - On the 8th of July 2009 the Belleville Police Service attended a Domestic Disturbance in the East end of the City. As a result of the investigation, a male was arrested at the scene. The male is being charged with one count of Domestic Assault and is being held for a bail on the 9th of July 2009.
