Theft – Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 9:21 am on October 7, 2014 police were called to a Putnam Industrial Road business to investigate a theft. Sometime between 1:00 am and 6:00 am that morning someone entered the compound and stole a large quantity of diesel fuel from several trucks parked in the lot. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.

 

Break and Enter – Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 7:30 pm on October 7, 2014 officers were called to a Grove Street residence to investigate a report of a break and enter. Sometime between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm the home was entered through an unlocked side window. A quantity of jewelry and three Nikon cameras were reported stolen. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.

 

Impaired Driving – Belleville, Ontario.

 

 At approximately 12:25 am on October 8, 2014 a concerned citizen called to police to report an erratic driver operating her vehicle with no headlights on in the area of Farley Avenue at Bridge Street East. Officers found the vehicle a short time later and the female driver was found to have been consuming alcohol. She registered a ‘fail” on a roadside test and was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service.  She then provided samples of her breath that indicated that her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. Gloria Murphy, 78, of Belleville faces a charge of Over 80 MG. She was later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of October 23, 2014.
