Assault Police


Shortly after 6:00 A.M. on 07 October 2017 police were dispatched to an east end apartment for a report of a disturbance. While speaking to one of the involved parties, another became confrontational towards police and was arrested. A scuffle ensued where one of the officers suffered a minor injury that did not require medical attention. Charged with assault police and resisting arrest is 25 yr. old Chantel Jouan of Belleville. Jouan was released on a promise to appear with a November court date.


Weapons Charges


On 07 October 2017 at 3:44 p.m. police responded to a 911 call that a male suspect had pointed a handgun at a 16 year old male pedestrian in the area of Adam Street and Cannifton Road. Police searched the area and later located the suspect vehicle in the Foxboro area resulting in the arrest without further incident of a 40 year old Belleville man who is in custody for a bail hearing. The investigation is continuing….



Impaired Driver


Shortly after 7:30 P.M. police responded to a report of a fail to remain motor vehicle collision on Grier St. Investigation led to the arrest of 59 year old Belleville resident David Goodwin. Goodwin was taken to Belleville General Hospital for observation but with no apparent serious injuries. While at the hospital, Goodwin was issued a form 9 appearance notice for impaired driving with a court date scheduled for later this month.
