Impaired Driver and drug seizure

 

Belleville, Ontario – On April 8th, 2017, at 4:19 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on N. Park St. The driver had been drinking and failed the roadside screening device. Inside the car was a large quantity of marijuana as well as cash. Connor Stone, 21 years of age, of Belleville, faces charges of “over 80 mgs”, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, and proceeds of crime. He will appear in court on April 20th, 2017.

  

Robbery

 

Belleville, Ontario – On April 8th, 2017, at 10:46 a.m. a lone male entered a convenience store in the downtown core armed with a handgun. The male opened the register and removed some money. A struggle ensued with the clerk but the male fled westbound on Bridge Street West. The suspect is described as a white male, 30’s, 6 ft. tall, wearing a light blue puffy coat, black balaclava and a light gray hoodie. No one was injured. Any information can be forwarded to Sgt. Brindakis or Quinte Crimestoppers.

  

Parolee arrested

 

Belleville, Ontario – On April 8th, 2017, at 6:54 p.m. police attended on Hwy 37 north of Zion Road in relation to two males fighting on the shoulder of the highway. A 44-year-old Belleville man had been drinking which was a contravention of his parole conditions. His parole was revoked and the male will be returned to prison to continue his original sentence. No charges stemming from the fight.

 

Impaired Driver

 

Belleville, Ontario – On April 9th, 2017, at 1:43 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Cameron Street. The driver was arrested for impaired driving. Michael Mark Moreau, 32 years-of-age, of Belleville, will appear in court on April 20th, 2017 on charges of impaired driving and over 80 mgs. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
