Belleville, Ontario – On August 8th, 2017, at 7:42 p.m. police attended on Plaza Square in relation to a male causing a disturbance. A 39-year old Belleville man was arrested and held for a bail hearing on a charge of breach of a recognizance.

On August 8th, 2017, at 8:21 p.m. police attended on West Moira Street in relation to a fight that broke out during a party. An unconscious 20-year old male was taken to BGH for treatment. A 20-year old male was arrested for assaulting him. EMS was also required to transport a 14-year old youth to the hospital for drug and alcohol abuse.

The 20-year old victim was released from hospital and did not wish any charges filed. As a result the accused was released unconditionally.

A 15-year old male who was at this gathering ended up in a disturbance on North Front Street at 11:56 p.m. He was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.  He was issued a summons to appear in Youth Court on a charge of being intoxicated in a public place.



Belleville, Ontario – On August 6th, 2017, a male reported to police that he was being criminally harassed by his ex-girlfriend. Over the course of the next two days it was revealed that the girlfriend had been assaulted in the past by the male on three separate occasions.

On August 9th, 2017, the male returned to the station and was formally charged with three counts of assault. He will appear in court on August 28th.  His name has been withheld.
