Theft and Obstruct Police Charge
Belleville, Ontario – On the 8th of October 2017 at 5:02pm, the Belleville Police received a call to attend a business in the north end of the city regarding a shoplifter. Upon arrival by police, the adult female provided a false name to police. Police conducted an investigation into her identity and it was revealed that the name she initially provided was false. As a result of the incident, the 31 year old female from Belleville was issued a trespass notice from the business as well as charged criminally with theft and obstructing police. The female was released on a Promise to Appear with a November court date.
Disturbance at Bar
Belleville, Ontario – On the 8th of October 2017 at 11:13pm, the Belleville Police responded to a liquor establishment in the north end of Belleville regarding a disturbance call. Upon arrival, police learned that a 21 year old Belleville man had become engaged in a physical altercation with door staff. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 21 year old male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and issued a provincial offence notice. He was later released to a family member for the night.
