Belleville, Ontario ? 01 April, 2010 at 3:35 p.m., police attended at a residence on Jones Street in response to a report of a theft of a pocket bike. The victim reported that unknown person(s) stole blue and silver pocket bike (described as 49 cc dirt bike style, which is missing a fender and throttle). This theft occurred sometime between midnight and 12 noon. This investigation is ongoing.

Belleville, Ontario ? 01 April, 2010 at 10:34 a.m., police attended at a business on North Front Street in response to a report of a theft of a HP Laptop from the store on 31 March, 2010. This investigation is ongoing.

Theft from Motor Vehicles

Belleville, Ontario ? 26 March, 2010 to 02 April, 2010, police have responded to 9 complaints of thefts from motor vehicles. Eight (8) of these incidents were from vehicles that had been parked at residences in the west end of the City and one from the east end. Almost all occurred overnight and generally the thefts were of personal items that had been left in the vehicle (example: GPS, spare change, vehicle registration documents, sunglasses).

Belleville Police are reminding the public to remove valuables from vehicles, ensure the vehicle is locked and report any suspicious persons and/or activity to the police.
