Belleville, Ontario ? On 31 January, 2011 at just after midnight, police attended at a fully engulfed fire on Hwy 62 near Ashley Street. The site of the fire served as a residence and dental practice for the sole occupant. Investigation determined this was an intentionally set fire.

Two men were driving in a vehicle when they observed the flames and contacted 911 to report the fire. These males stopped at the residence and a third unknown male also assisted in removing the sole occupant. The third rescuer has not been identified. Police are asking for the public's assistance in ascertaining the identity of this third rescuer.

The sole occupant was removed form the home and transported via ambulance for medical treatment and remains in hospital at this time.

The homeowner, Gerald Williams (69 years), has been charged with one count of Arson and will appear in Provincial court on 10 March 2011.
