Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Belleville, Ontario ? On 31 December 2011 at 1:15 p.m., police were informed of a possible impaired driver in the area of South Front Street. Investigation of this complaint led to a 52 year old Ennismore man being charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Operation of a Motor Vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol. Eric Devries will appear in Provincial Court in Belleville on 19 January 2012.
On 31 December 2011, at 10:00 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a motorist going through an amber light at Bridge St. West at Sidney St. This car was stopped and it was learned that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver provided a sample of his breath which led to a three-day licence suspension. His car was towed from the scene.
On 01 January 2012, at 1:45 a.m., officers attended at College St. West near Sidney in relation to a two car accident. It was learned that one of the vehicles had left the scene of the accident. This vehicle was located on Progress Ave. and the driver was taken into custody. Steven Lounsberry, 33 yrs of age, of Belleville, faces charges of Impaired Driving , Over 80 mgs of alcohol, and Failing to remain at the scene of an accident. One party was treated at the scene for minor injuries by EMS and released. This male will appear in court on 12 January 2012.
On 01 January 2012, at 2:00 a.m., police were informed of a possible impaired driver on Pinnacle St. Investigation of this complaint led to the arrest of Bradley Sears, 29 years of age, of Bancroft. He will appear in court on 12 January 2012 on charges of Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs of alcohol.
On 01 January 2012, at 2:30 a.m., police stopped a motorist on Progress Avenue. A 32 year old Belleville man provided a sample of his breath which led to a three-day licence suspension. His car was towed from the scene.
Belleville Ontario ? On 01 January 2012, between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., Police responded to disturbances on Pine St., Ann St., Foster Ave., Bell Blvd, and North Front St. A total of 10 persons were taken into custody. All were charged under the Liquor Licence Act.
