Attempted Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario - at approximately 1:26 pm on May 9, 2012 officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a Wallbridge-Loyalist Road residence. The home owner was inside the residence and heard the sound of glass breaking at the rear of the property and observed a suspect trying to gain access. Upon arrival officers surrounded the property and checked the house with the complainant and discovered that a rear window had been broken but that it did not appear that entry was gained to the home and nothing had been stolen. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a suspect. He is described as a white male in his early 20's with a slim build. He was wearing a black shirt with black shorts with tattoos on his right arm. The incident is still under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to call Quinte Crimestoppers or the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario - On the 9th of May, just after 4pm, a woman walking through the parking lot of the Home Depot store on Bell Blvd, was struck by a vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Police are requesting anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact the investigating officer, Constable Bucci, at 966-0882, ext4126.
