Belleville, Ontario ? On 9 November, 2011 at 7:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle being driven erratically in the Station Street area of the city. While en route, they were advised that the driver had stopped and parked at a local business.
On arrival, a witness identified the driver of the erratically driven vehicle and a subsequent investigation determined that the female driver was intoxicated.
Patricia Dawson (52 years) of Belleville, has been charged with Impaired Driving Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with More than 80MG of Alcohol. Dawson is scheduled to attend in Provincial Court on 1 December, 2011.
Belleville, Ontario ? On 3 November, 2011 police attended on Front Street in response to a complaint that a male was attempting to sell fraudulent spa packages from Dish Salon. As a result of this investigation it is alleged that this male (while proclaiming to be a representative of the spa) sold multiple packages between 1 September 2011 and 3 November, 2011. As a result this male was charged with one count of Fraud Under $5000.00 and was scheduled to attend Provincial court on 10 November, 2011.
Further, on 9 November, 2011 at 3:08 p.m., police attended at a business on Moira Street, East in response to a complaint of a male again attempting to sell spa packages from Dish Salon. Police observed a male a short distance from the Moira Street business that matched the description of the suspicious male. Investigation of this incident resulted in this male being charged with one count of Utter Forged Document and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. This 39 year old Belleville man will appear in Provincial court at 1:00 p.m. for a bail hearing on 10 November, 2011.
Police are reminding the public to confirm unsolicited sales packages (that are being offered for sale at a discounted price) with the originating business.
