Threats//Conspiracy//Bail Violations

Belleville, Ontario – On December 9th, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. police commenced an investigation into threats posted on Facebook. During this investigation, it was revealed that the suspect was also planning a robbery. A 12 year old youth was arrested for Threats and Conspiracy to commit an Indictable Offence. This youth was charged and released on conditions. Several hours after his release, this youth was arrested again after breaching one of the conditions of his release. In addition, it was learned that this youth was responsible for an attempted break-in into a west end business from December 7th. The youth faces additional charges of Breach of an Undertaking and Attempted Break and Enter. He remains in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing on December 10th, 2012.

Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario – On December 9th, 2012, at 9:45 a.m. police attended at a business located on College Street East in response to a complaint of a break and enter. Two trailers had been stolen from this compound in the early morning hours.

Both tractor trailers are white in colour with Ranlyn written on the sides in blue letters. Both trailers contained meat products. The trailers have the following Ontario licence plates attached: C1168X and J7686F.

Hit and Run accident

Belleville, Ontario – On December 9th, 2012, at 6:10 p.m., Police attended at the intersection of North Front and College Street in relation to an accident. It was learned that one of the vehicles had failed to remain at the scene. Police located the hit and run vehicle on Prince of Wales Drive. A male driver was arrested at this location. A 53 year old Belleville man will appear in Traffic Court in January on charges of Careless Driving, Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident, Failing to report an Accident, and Driving with an Expired Valtag Sticker. The other driver sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

Bail Violations

Belleville, Ontario –On December 7th, 2012, a 27 year old Deseronto man was arrested for two counts of Breach of a Recognizance. He was held for a Bail hearing on December 10th.

On December 9th, police investigated another complaint of a bail violation against the same man. One more count of Breach of Recognizance was laid. No names will be released as the original charges stem from a Domestic Assault investigation.
