Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ont., - On February 10, 2009 Belleville Police responded to several motor vehicle collisions throughout the City due to icy road conditions. Police and EMS also responded to an accident on Front Street shortly after 12:00pm where a single motor vehicle struck a fire hydrant. One occupant was taken to hospital for treatment of undetermined injuries.

Bail Violation

Belleville, Ont., - On February 10, 2009 police were notified that a 62 year old Oshaw man wanted on outstanding warrants issued by this Service had been arrested. As a result Belleville Officers attended to return the accused who is charged with one count of Failing to Appear in Court. His Bail Hearing is scheduled for 11 February 2009.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ont., - On February 10, 2009 at approximately 3:00pm police took a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Sidney Street. The vehicle is described as a red DODGE CARAVAN, with Ontario License plates AXES551. If anyone observes the vehicle they are asked to notify police.

Shoplifters

Belleville, Ont., - On February 10, 2009, police were called to Walmart in relation to two adult shoplifters. As a result of the investigation, a 43 year old Belleville man and a 50 year old Belleville woman, were both charged with one count of Theft Under. They were released with court dates in March 2009.
