Belleville, ON – Police received a call at approximately 4:21pm to attend a parking lot in the city’s west end for a report of an impaired driver. Male had attended a business and the caller could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the male’s breath. He was later seen driving a vehicle and hitting parked vehicles in the parking before leaving. A bi-stander obtained a plate and the suspect was located at his residence, still in the driver seat. He was arrested by officers and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he provided two samples of breath that were over the legal limit. The male was charged with impaired driving, drive while over 80mgs and resisting arrest. He was released on a promise to appear with a court date for the 29th of January 2015.
