Public Mischief

Belleville, Ontario - On the 10th of July 2009 a male contacted the Belleville Police Service and reported that he had been stabbed.  Officers rushed to the scene in the North East part of the City, only to find the male caller was intoxicated and had not been stabbed. A 28 year old Belleville man was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Station and was charged with one count of Public Mischief, and released with on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions. He is scheduled for a court appearance in August 2009.

Break and Enters
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 10th July 2009 commencing at 5:45 am, Police responded to several non-residential Break and Enters in the north end of the city. Several business sustained significant damages. Some of the break and enters were committed on Mineral Road and most were entered by smashing the frontglass doors to the businesses.In addition three commercial break and enters occurred in the east end of the city. Onewas a glass smash front door entry; the other was abottom panel garage door entry, while another was a window entry. All of these incidents are still under investigation.
Missing Person
The Belleville Police Service is seeking the public?s assistance in locating Anne Cynthia ELLOWAY. She was last seen on the 4th July 2009 in the City of Belleville. Anne Cynthia Elloway is 56 years of age, 5'4" in height, heavy build, approximately 210lbs., shoulder length, wavy, brown hair, She wears glasses and has a noticeable lump on the left shoulder.She may use a push walker for assistance. Information was received that she may be visiting or travelling with friends or relatives.
