Robbery Belleville, Ontario

At approximately 5:30Am on July 9, 2013 a male reported to Belleville Police Service that he had been the victim of a robbery which had occurred at approximately 10:30 pm the previous night at a North front Street business. The victim reports he was outside a business having a cigarette when he was approached by a male who asked to use his cell phone. The victim provided his cell phone to the male who then ran away. The victim chased the male and then when he confronted the male, the male produced a semi-automatic firearm and demanded money from the victim, to which the victim complied. The victim then fled. Police identified and located the 18yr old male. He is charged with robbery, theft, committing an indictable offence with a firearm and 2 counts of breach probation. The male was held for a bail hearing.

Stolen Vehicle Belleville, Ontario.

At approximately 10:20 am on July 10, 2013 police were called to a business on Bridge Street West to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle. Sometime overnight a 2003 Chevrolet Express van, white in colour was stolen from the parking lot. The vehicle is described as an 11 passenger van with Ontario plates AZNX815. The investigation is continuing and anyone with any information is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.
