Assault

Belleville, Ontario – On June 9th, 2015, at 9:49 a.m. police responded to Tracey Park Drive in relation to a male attempting to break into a residence. A male was arrested at the scene once it was learned that he had damaged flower pots and planted flowers. Further investigation lead to two counts of assault in relation to incidents that occurred in early June and April of 2015. The 34 year old Belleville man will appear in court on June 29th, 2015. There were no reported injuries.

On June 9th, 2015, at 6:15 p.m. police attended on Tracey Park Drive and arrested a 23 year old Belleville woman in relation to an assault that occurred there on June 8th.  The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention. The accused will appear in court on July 2nd, 2015.

Accidents

Belleville, Ontario – On June 9th, 2015, police attended at 9 accident scenes throughout the city. Three were deemed to be minor accidents.  As for the other 6 accidents:

At 12:29 p.m. police attended on Station Street at Church Street in relation to a two-car accident. A trailer became detached from a vehicle and wooden cylinders fell off the trailer onto the roadway striking another car. This car was driven by a 16 year old youth was taking his driver’s test.  A 43 year old Picton man was charged with having an insecure load.  There were no injuries. The youth was unable to finish his test which was rescheduled to another date.

At 1:55 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street East at the Bayview Mall in relation to a two-car accident. A 21 year old Belleville woman was charged with “unsafe lane change”. There were no injuries.

At 2:15 p.m. police attended on Octavia Street in relation to a single vehicle accident as a car struck had struck a pole. A 36 year old Frankford woman was charged with driving while under suspension. She will appear in traffic court later this month. There were no injuries.

At 2:42 p.m. police attended on Old Hwy 2 in relation to a two-car accident. A 61 year old Napanee man was charged with “start from a stopped position – not in safety”. There were no injuries.

At 5:16 p.m. police attended on West Street in relation to a two-car accident. A 28 year old Belleville man was charged with “start from a stopped position – not in safety”. There were no injuries.

At 7:40 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of Galaxy Cinemas on Bell Blvd in relation to a two-car accident. There were no charges given that the accident occurred on private property. There were no injuries.
