Shoplift leads to arrest on warrants

Belleville, ON- On 9 November at 2:20pm, police were called to a store within the Bay View Mall regarding a shoplifter. The male in question was arrested and police learned that he was also wanted from a shoplifting incident at an east end business in August. Police were also able to identify the male from surveillance footage from another shoplifting incident on the 6th of October. Justin Cook of Belleville was charged with three counts of theft and 3 counts of breaching his probation. He was held for a bail hearing.



Multiple collisions throughout the city

Belleville, On. The wet and snowy weather made way for 11 reported collisions throughout the city between 10:00am and 7:00pm. One collision saw an elderly female taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police are reminding motorists to drive safe as the winter season approaches.


Intoxicated lumberjack

Belleville, ON- On 10 November at 2:50am police were called to an intoxicated male knocking over Christmas trees on Front Street. A 33 year old Belleville man was located and arrested for public intoxication. The trees were not damaged, and police put them back in place.
