The Belleville Police Service responded to 55 calls between November 9th 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and November 10th 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, ON - On the 9th of November 2019, at 4:20 p.m., police attended at east end residence for a report of a domestic dispute. During the course of the argument the male spat in the female’s face and proceeded to damage some her property. A 27 years-old Belleville man was charged with assault and mischief. He was released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC Undertaking with a first appearance of the 2nd of December 2019


Belleville, ON – On November 10th 2019 at 1:56 a.m. police responded to a 911 call at a convenience store in the east end of the city.  An investigation revealed that a male entered the store, brandished what the victim believed to be a firearm and a knife. He demanded that the employee hand over money from the register and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee complied and no injuries were sustained by any of the parties. The male is described as wearing, black pants, a black coat, and a grey and black hat. He was last seen running away westbound on Bridge Street East.  Police are asking anyone with information to please contact The Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
