Family Disturbance leads to charges


Belleville, Ontario – On February 10th, 2015, at 3:45 p.m. police attended at an Elgin Street residence in relation to a complaint of an assault.  It was learned that a 20 year old Belleville man had slapped his brother across the face during an argument. The male was arrested at this point.  During the investigation it was revealed that this male had pulled a knife on his mother and threatened to kill her the day before. The male was held for a bail hearing on February 11th, 2015 on charges of assault, assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering threats, and forcible confinement. No one was injured in this incident.
