Sexual Assault

 

Belleville, Ontario - On April 8th2014, the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch began an investigation into a sexual assault on a young person. On April 10th2014, 22 year old Calvin Marcipont of Belleville was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Luring under the Criminal Code. Mr. Marcipont will appear in court on May 22nd2014. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Detective Constable Pat Kellar at 613 966-0882 Ext 2311

 

Thefts from Vehicles

 

Belleville, Ontario – "Dad!  Dad look! There is a lady in your truck.”

A west end resident’s six year old son alerted him to an unfamiliar female being inside his truck in the driveway.  When the female was confronted by the resident she produced a knife and a struggle ensued.  The disturbance alerted a neighbor who attended to assist to subdue the female.  During the struggle the male resident was bitten several times.  Officers attended and arrested 25 year old Tineka Oliviera of no fixed abode.  Ms. Oliviera has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on 11 April 2014; facing charges of Assault with a weapon, weapon dangerous, assault causing bodily harm, assault, theft and attempt theft.

 

Thefts from Vehicles

 

Belleville, Ontario – At approximately 02:10 a.m., officers arrested two 16 year old male young offenders going through vehicles in the Oak and Station St. areas.  A quantity of stolen property has been recovered.  Both youths have been charged with Theft, Possession of stolen property and Prowl by night.  They have been released to the custody of their parents with court dates in May.  Any area  residents who realize items have been stolen overnight form their vehicle are asked to contact the Belleville Police Service: Investigating officer Eric Hadley.
