New Traffic Lights

There are new traffic lights on Cannifton Road at The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. The offence for Red light fail to stop is $325 and 3 demerit points. Please use extra care and attention when driving on Cannifton Road.


Arrest on warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On April 10th, 2018, at 12:20 p.m. An anonymous caller was advising of a wanted female in the area of the hospital. Officers were dispatched to the area and recognized a female walking on Dundas Street East, who was wanted on arrest warrants. The 24-year-old Belleville female was arrested and held for a bail hearing on April 11th, 2018. The charges included one count of breach of probation.


Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ontario – On April 10th, 2018, police attended at five motor vehicle collisions across the City.

At 4:23 p.m. officers attended Dundas St. E and Foster Ave for a two vehicle collision.  As a result, Dundas St. E was blocked for a short period of time allowing tow operators to remove one of the vehicles. EMS attended the scene but were not required. A male driver was charged with Red light fail to stop.

The remaining collisions were minor in nature with no reported injuries. Most were referred to the Collision Reporting Centre.
