Shoplifter
Belleville, Ontario – On August 10th, 2014 at 11:24 a.m. police attended at a north end grocery store in relation to a theft. It was learned that a woman had been apprehended after wheeling her shopping cart out of the store with unpaid merchandise totaling $750.00. A 54 year old Belleville woman was charged with the theft and held for a bail hearing on August 11th, 2014.
On August 10th, 2014, at 12:45 p.m. police attended at a north end store in relation to a fraudulent return. A 47 year old Belleville woman was charged with Fraud after attempting to return items for a refund which she had not paid for.
On August 10th, 2014, at 2:50 p.m. police attended at an east end grocery store in relation to a theft. A 34 year old Belleville woman was charged with theft and will appear in court on October 2nd, 2014.
Weapons/Mischief charges
Belleville, Ontario –On August 10th, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. police attended at a residence in Thurlow Ward in relation to a man with a knife damaging property. It was learned that an 18 year old Belleville man threw a cement block through a windshield. He proceeded inside the residence and pulled the knife on a family member. The accused damaged a computer, TV, and several walls. The male threw the knife at the family member and left the residence. He was arrested nearby by police and held for a bail hearing on August 11th, 2014. His charges include mischief to property exceeding $5000.00, weapons dangerous and assault with a weapon. No one was injured.
Disturbances
Belleville, Ontario –On August 10th, 2014 at 8:15 p.m. police attended on West Moira Street in relation to a neighbor dispute. A 71 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
On August 11th, 2014, at 12:15 a.m. police attended on Church Street in relation to a domestic disturbance. A 29 year old Belleville man and a 25 year old Belleville woman were arrested for their own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
