Belleville, Ontario – On the 9th of December 2015, members of the Belleville Police Service assisted by members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop in Toronto which led to the execution of Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrants in Belleville, Toronto, Brampton, Whitby and Kingston.
As a result of the search warrants and the vehicle stop police seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, Fentanyl, cash, digital scales and 2 vehicles.
The following persons were charged as a result of the search warrants:
Michael Griffin – 34 years old of Kingston
Stephanie Talbot – 34 years old of Belleville
Zachary Smith – 31 years old of Whitby
Tarsem Chohan – 42 years old of Brampton
Lois Earle – 69 years old of Whitby
Yusef Smith – 41 years old of Whitby
Kristoff Chin-Yee – 28 years old of Toronto
Kody Chin-Yee – 24 years old of Toronto
Michael GRIFFIN, Stephanie TALBOT, Tarsem CHOHAN, Zachary SMITH, Lois EARLE, Yusef SMITH, Kristoff CHIN-YEE and Kody CHIN-YEE are charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Michael GRIFFIN, Stephanie TALBOT, Tarsem CHOHAN, Zachary SMITH, Lois EARLE, Yusef SMITH, Kristoff CHIN-YEE and Kody CHIN-YEE are charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Tarsem CHOHAN, Zachary SMITH, Lois EARLE, Yusef SMITH, are charged with proceeds of crime.
Tarsem CHOHAN is also charged with possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of Trafficking.
Michael GRIFFIN, Stephanie TALBOT, Tarsem CHOHAN and Zachary SMITH were held for a show cause hearing on the 10th of December 2015.
All other accused were released with a court date of the 28th of January 2016.
Belleville, Ontario – The Belleville RIDE Team kept busy overnight. 385 cars were checked during the course of the evening.
Three motorists received three-day licence suspensions and had their vehicles towed.
On December 11th, 2015, at 2:20 a.m. the RIDE team stopped a car on Hwy 37. The driver, a 21 year Warkworth man, was arrested for impaired driving. A further check revealed that he was a prohibited driver. His girlfriend’s car was impounded for 45 days. He was released with a courtdate of January 7th, 2016 on charges of “over 80 mgs.” and driving while prohibited.
Belleville, Ontario – On December 11th, 2015, at 2:15 a.m. an officer checked a male on North Front Street and discovered that the male was breaching the alcohol condition of his bail release. The 36 year old Belleville man was charged with breach of an undertaking and held for bail.
