Domestic Related Incidents

Belleville, Ontario ? On June 20, 2011 police investigated a domestic related incident at a Thurlow address and as a result a 34 year old Belleville male was charged with Break and Enter and Threats.

Then again on July 8, 2011, police were called to same family regarding further allegations related to this domestic situation. As a result this same male was arrested and charged with five counts of Assault, one count of Assault with a Weapon and one count of Fail to Comply. The accused male has been held in custody awaiting a bail hearing scheduled for July 11, 2011.

The name of the accused will not be released as to protect the identity of the victim.

Belleville, Ontario ? On July 8, 2011, at 3:50 p.m. police responded to an east end Belleville home regarding a domestic related incident. Further investigation resulted in a 19 year old Belleville male being arrested and charged with one count each of Assault, Mischief and Threats. He was subsequently released with a court date set in August 2011.

The name of the accused will not be released as to protect the identity of the victim.

Belleville, Ontario? On July 9, 2011, police responded to a call from a victim who reported receiving threats from a male and that this male was currently following her. As a result a 23 year old Belleville male was arrested and charged with one count of Threats. He was subsequently released with a court date scheduled in August 2011.

The name of the accused will not be released as to protect the identity of the victim.

Belleville, Ontario? On July 10, 2011, at 3:15 a.m. police were called to a west hill address with a report of a female being dragged into a home. As a result a 27 year old Belleville male was arrested and charged with one count each of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Threats. This male has been held in custody awaiting a Bail hearing scheduled for July 11, 2011. The victim suffered injuries to her head, face and arms. She was treated and later released from Belleville General Hospital for these injuries.

The name of the accused will not be released as to protect the identity of the victim.

Break & Enter (s)

Belleville, Ontario ? On July 10, 2011 police received a report of Break & Enter to a home on Highland Ave. Entry was gained through an unlocked front door and was reported to have occurred sometime between 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Suspects took three lap tops (HP, Dell and a Sony).

Police also took a report of a Break & Enter at a Bridge St East address. The entry occurred on July 10th between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and entry was gained through a front door. Suspects took a six string guitar, digital frame, red Toshiba Notebook and cash.

These Break & Enters are currently under investigation.

Driving & Alcohol Related Offences

Belleville, Ontario ? On July 9, 2011 at 1:40 a.m., while on routine patrol an officer stopped a vehicle on Dundas Street East. After further investigation Sylvia PAZ-PROVIZOR, 58 years from the City of Belleville was charged with one count of Fail to Provide Suitable Sample. PAZ-PROVIZOR was released with a July 2011 court date.

In another incident officers on patrol made a traffic stop on July 9th at 10:40 p.m. on Ashley Street in Foxboro. As a result Peter WHALEY, 50 years old from Quinte West, was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80mgs. WHALEY will appear in court in August 2011.

Indecent Act

Belleville, Ontario ? On July 9, 2011 police received a report of an Indecent Act that had occurred the evening before. On July 8, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. the victim was walking on the foot path near the parking lot at Meyers Pier. She heard someone behind her and looked back to see who it was. A male on a bike rode past her and then stopped and got off his bike ahead of her. The male appeared to be masturbating. The victim refused to react to his actions and quickly walked past him. He again pulled ahead of her, stopped and appeared to masturbate himself. The victim again refused to react to this and continued on her way. The suspect was described as 30-50 years old, 5'7?, either a shaved head or receding hair line and wearing loose pants. The suspect was riding a bike that appeared to be too small for him.
