Belleville Ont, The Belleville Police Service is currently investigating 2 major incidents that took place in the city with in a very short time frame. The first Incident occurred shortly before 2 pm at Quinte Secondary School where a firearm was discharged. There were no injuries. The school entered into lockdown as per protocol but the lockdown was lifted by 330 pm
The second incident occurred at approx.205 pm at the Royal Bank located at 241 Front Street downtown Belleville. The male brandished a firearm and demanded money from staff. The male left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. The firearm was not discharged and there were no injuries. The bank remains closed as police investigate.
