Break and Enter – Belleville, Ontario
At approximately 7:10 am on May 9, 2014 police were called to a University Avenue residence to investigate a report of a break and enter to a garage. Sometime between 7:00pm – 07:00 am entry was gained to the garage by breaking a lock. Once inside suspect(s) removed 2 motorized scooters. One scooter is described as red, gas/electric power with a box type saddle bag on the back. No description is available for the second scooter. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.
Update: On the 10th of May 2014, a citizen called to report locating the scooters in a nearby wooded area. Both scooters were returned to their owner. The investigation is continuing.
Theft- Belleville, Ontario
On the 10th of May 2014, Belleville Police Service took several reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles. Cash, GPS, and electronic equipment were taken from the vehicles. Police are reminding motorists to lock their vehicles and remove valuables.
