Pedestrian Hit and Run
Belleville, Ontario – On October 7th, 2013, a female pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Moria Street West and Coleman Street. The suspect vehicle fled the scene leaving the seriously injured pedestrian lying on the ground. Ambulance was contacted by a citizen and the injured woman was taken to hospital where she remains with major but non-life threatening injuries. The Technical Traffic Investigation Unit, Forensic Identification Unit and the Criminal Investigation Branch are seeking assistance from the public to help identify the vehicle and persons responsible for this crime. The vehicle is described as a 2004-2006 Grey 4 door car – possibly a Pontiac. The vehicle would possibly have damage to the front end and windshield area.
