Weapons Call

Belleville, Ont. ? On September 11, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., the Belleville Police Service was dispatched to an incident of males fighting with a bat and broken beer bottles.  The investigation revealed a male was defending himself against two males who were threatening him with broken beer bottles.  A 22 year old Belleville male and a 26 year old Belleville male were taken into custody for Uttering Threats, Assault with a weapon, Breach of Probation.  Both are being held in custody for appearances in bail court on 14 September 2009.  There were no injuries received.

 
Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ont. ? On September 11, 2009, at 2:40 a.m., police could hear a vehicle burning out in the S/E part of the city .The vehicle was located at Herchimer Av and Keegan pkwy. The Driver was arrested for impaired driving. He was charged with impaired driving and over 80. He was released with a court date in October.

 

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ont. ? On September 12, 2009, at 4:30 a.m., the Belleville Police responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Blessington Road.  Five people were transported to Belleville General Hospital with non life threatening injuries where they were treated and released.  The investigation determined that the 21year old male driver had been consuming alcohol and registered ?Warn? on the Alcotest. He was subsequently issued a 3 day driving suspension.
